  4.       As  an  expert  system,   the  Inference  Engine will
  5. evaluate current economic conditions with previous periods.
  6. The expert system will match the previous conditions to the
  7. existing period.   If  the  stored  economic conditions are
  8. similar, then the previous decision will be displayed  that
  9. the  human  investment manager executed.  All decisions for
  10. the  current  economic  condition  will be displayed.  This
  11. provides institutional  memory and an experience base.  The
  12. depth of the expert  system  expands as it is used.  It may
  13. take  months   of  building  the experience base before the
  14. expert  system component will be executed.   The historical
  15. database, supplied with the expert system does not directly
  16. effect the knowledge base.   Until the Inference Engine can
  17. make  a  match,   only  the  display   "No Similar Economic
  18. Conditions Exist."
